Draft for review. This page describes what the OddTruffle Hub actually does today. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet; wording, retention periods and the contact address may change before it's final.
The OddTruffle Hub (hub.oddtruffle.com) lists brands' offers, checked by OddTruffle, for shoppers and AI assistants. Shoppers don't sign up or log in, and we don't ask for names, email addresses, payment details or precise location.
What we collect
| When | What we record |
|---|---|
| An assistant searches or reads offers (our app or MCP connector) | The tool used; the shopper's request as the assistant sent it (for example "nurse discount on shoes"); brand or category asked about; the city or area used, if one was given or shared by the assistant as an approximate location; which offers were shown; the assistant's name and version; one-way codes derived from the assistant's conversation and user identifiers, so we can count a conversation once. We never store those identifiers themselves. |
| Someone clicks Redeem or a brand link | Which offer and link, the assistant it came from, the referring page, the browser's user agent, and the conversation code above. The click then goes to the brand's site with UTM tags so the brand can see the visit came through OddTruffle. |
| Someone opens a Hub page, or a crawler reads it | The page, the browser or crawler's user agent, and which AI assistant sent the visit when the referrer or link shows it. |
| Every request | Our hosting provider (Google Cloud) keeps standard request logs, including IP address, for security and debugging. |
Why
- To answer the request: find, rank and explain offers.
- To show brands how their offers perform with AI assistants, in totals (searches, offers shown, clicks), never per person.
- To keep the service working and secure.
Who we share it with
- Brands see aggregated activity for their own offers, and the questions shoppers asked about them, without any identifier.
- Our cloud provider processes data on our behalf.
- We don't sell personal data and don't use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Activity records are kept for up to 13 months, then deleted or reduced to totals. Hosting request logs follow the provider's retention, typically 30 days.
Your choices
- You can use the assistant without the OddTruffle app; offers on brands' own sites stay available.
- To ask about or delete activity linked to a conversation, write to support@oddtruffle.com with the date and the question you asked; because we keep only one-way codes we may not be able to find a single person's records, and we'll tell you if so.
Children
The Hub isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
We'll post changes here with a new date. Questions: support@oddtruffle.com.
